The Global Future Fellows: Powering SEA's Digital Health program empowers health policy and technology professionals across the ASEAN region with the skills, networks, and strategic insights needed to leverage digital opportunities, tackle emerging healthcare challenges, and enhance health system resilience against future pandemics. The program is initiated by Pijar Foundation, building on its successful initiative “Global Future Fellows: Advancing Southeast Asia’s Predictive Healthcare” in partnership with the ASEAN Secretariat.

As ASEAN shapes its post-2025 ASEAN Community Vision under the chairmanship of Malaysia, strengthening cross-border collaboration and innovation have become urgent priorities. This fellowship responds to these needs by equipping a curated group of professionals with the tools to design effective policies, implement scalable solutions, and contribute meaningfully to the region’s health resilience.

Key themes to be explored during the fellowship include pandemic prevention strategies, healthcare talent, regulatory sandbox for innovation, data governance, and regional centers of excellence.
